I Like Snacks

Here on the west coast we have a product known as Raincoast Crisps. I really don't know how far afield they are available, but they are absolutely scrumptious! And very pricey.

So, with some experimentation, I came up with my own version, which I call Gourmet Crackers. You can find the recipe on my recipe blog by clicking the link.

Snack-y meals are some of my favorites. I like little bits of flavorful things, savory mostly. I'm not a real sweets eater, other than chocolate, which has its own food group, isn't it?

How about you? Do you like snacks? What's your favorite?

  1. I like the savory too, Lorrie. Olives, cheese and crackers, anything sweet and sour or hot and sour. Raincoast Crisps are SO good - I'll head right over to check out your recipe.

  2. I've checked the recipe and it sounds wonderful, Lorie - I've not come across such exciting looking crackers before.

I like bread, cheese and salad meals, but annoyingly, the steroids I've just been put on for two months mean that I have to cut out cheese and charcuterie! Grr... But it's a small price to pay for getting well again.

  7. For me, snacks are a main food group. In fact, I would prefer to snack all the time in lieu of meals. I can even just grab a lettuce leaf, at times, to feel satisfied. :) If I lived alone, that is how I'd eat. But my teen boys would think life had come to a screeching halt if they didn't have big, Southern meals... largely thanks to my mother-in-law. She is the queen of Southern hospitality and cooking, in my book. I definitely need to check out your recipe!

    Blessings,
    Christi
