Queen Anne's Lace

Queen Anne's Lace. So delicate and pretty. I picked a bouquet recently and had fun photographing it, then played with editing. Enjoy!

We are in Alberta visiting family this week. A few weeks ago my mother-in-law fell and broke her pelvis. She's making great progress, although recovery is slow.

Linking with Mosaic Monday, hosted by Maggie of Normandy Life.

  2. I am so sorry to read about your mother-in-law's fall. I hope that she heals well and as quickly as possible. It must be a comfort to her that you were able to get to Alberta to support her.
The Queen Anne's Lace is lovely. I usually gather one bouquet each summer. It doesn't last long and the table is soon full of little crawly creatures and tiny flower petals but it is such a beautiful bouquet in late summer!

  7. Lovely, I planted Ammi Majus this year which is so similar. I have a vase full of it mixed with delicate pink roses.

I'm glad you are both able to visit and help your M-In-L, it must have been a horrid shock and your visit will be just the thing.
We never know what's round the corner, do we?!

  10. There is so much beauty in Queen Anne's Lace, and so many folk overlook it as just a weed. Best of luck to your mother in law with her recovery. Enjoy the week.

  11. Saying a prayer for your mother-in-law...so good to know that she is recovering well.

Ahhhh..I just love your edits. Queen Anne's Lace is growing all over The Ponderosa and some days it is the thing that keeps me going when I look out and see it everywhere. So lovely...such beauty in the midst of so much that is rustic and rough.

  22. I threw some Queen Anne's Lace seeds in my butterfly garden and now they have spread everywhere, crowding the other flowers out. They are much better off in a field where they can run free and like you, I find them willing subjects for my lens.

  25. Lorrie, I associate Queen Anne Lace with Ontario because I sister pressed many of them. They are obviously on the other end of the country. Best recovery for you MIL.

  31. Glad to hear your MIL is recovering!

I love Queen Anne's Lace. Around our area we have a lot of Poison Hemlock growing, it looks like Queen Anne's lace at first glance. Big difference though! It's good to know the difference!
