Tragedy strikes everywhere in this broken world. Have we become numb? This latest attack in Paris leaves me bewildered. A free press is essential to free thinking and free living. I applaud those who print controversy although I may not always agree with their opinions.
"I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it." (attributed to Voltaire)
Paris et la France - cet acte vilain a suscité une immense peine de par le monde.
So very sad. I agree with you completely.
ReplyDeleteThere are those who think they can bully everyone into not thinking at all.
ReplyDeleteThis brings a question to my mind, "we" say that we are against gun violence and then we turn around and support a country at war - is that against gun violence? War is a bigger scale of what is happening around the world in magazine offices, in schools, theaters and in homes. Can "we" truly be against gun violence when "we" support troops sent out to kill and destroy?
ReplyDeleteMy deepest sympathies to our friends in France, we stand in solidarity with you against those who would try to intimidate us.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Lorrie. What a terrible tragedy and sadly, there will be more.
