It's a Golden World

Yesterday afternoon I left school a wee bit early and made a dash for the ferry. Tim was already on the mainland - there for a conference. I picked him up and we drove across the border, through Stevens Pass on a rainy night to Leavenworth, Washington.

We are enroute to Spokane for a wedding tomorrow and took this day for a bit of a break. We walked along the Wenatchee River enjoying the golden world. Clouds came and went but the rain held off until we arrived back at our lodgings.

I'll leave you with just the photos - they speak for themselves. Walk along with us.

  1. Oh, how I love these scenes! Can these colors be any more of what we wait for all summer long? And that last one has everything. It truly does go with the Muir quote. Have a wonderful time at the wedding and on your drive home!

  2. That is a beautiful area to visit! Will you come home the North Cascades? If you do, the Methow Valley is so peaceful and the colours are brilliant at this time of year. Enjoy the wedding!

  3. What a stunningly beautiful place; I do so love to see the Autumn leaves in cooler climates. The little bird in the first picture looks so sweet among the bright colours. Enjoy your journey and the wedding.

  4. Autumn is still showing her beautiful colors. I was just thinking that my Canadian friends, with few exceptions, do a whole lot more walking than my USA friends.

I would love to visit Canada - I feel we have much in common, for starters we’re both Commonwealth countries.
We have the Duke and Duschess of Sussex arriving in Wellington tomorrow - very excitingđź’•

Our Creator certainly knows how to use a paintbrush! Love the quote too--how true.

  21. Oh! These fall colours are lovely. I wish one day to see them, as we don't have this sort of colour here in Australia, only in patches were there are imported trees. I love all that colour! Have a fabulous week and thank you for stopping by my blog last week.
