One can't hang onto summer forever. Now that autumn is officially here, I'm ready to embrace all the loveliness of the season. Like these red, red apples, hundreds of them, hanging over a fence along my walk.
And the grasses, taller than I am, rustling in the wind along the bog path. Moody skies that remind me of a Bronte novel.
A collection of bits and pieces accompanied me home. Leaves, warmly coloured, bits of bark and seed pods.
Together with candles the bits and pieces add an autumnal air to the dining room. Autumn is here in all her glory. I'm ready to enjoy her. How about you?
Mersad invited me to link up to his Friday My Town Shoot Out which features Seasonal Changes this week. There are lots of interesting shots from around the world there.
i just love autumn so much.

Okay, I'm hanging my head in shame here. LOL Fall is not my favorite season but I do love the fresh apples, cider, cool gardening weather, and lovely colors. Photos are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLovely post, Lorrie.
ReplyDeleteYes, I am so ready for fall. Our temperatures here are cooperating and I am enjoying the cooler air.
Were you tempted to pick one of those gorgeous red apples as you went by? I know I would be.
Your centerpiece is lovely with the natural elements and ample candlelight. Just perfect for this time of year.
Lovely new header! Beautiful autumnal table centerpiece!
ReplyDeleteYes, I am ready to enjoy fall!
We have a few heritage apple trees around town, and every year, I mean to get out to them with my camera. But my photos wouldn't come near capturing what yours do. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, autumn is so welcome here. Those apples look delicious!

You created a beautiful fall centerpiece with finds from your walk. So lovely to have new crop apples to eat these days. I could eat two a day!
ReplyDeleteThe red apples are spectacular. Your table is just beautiful! You definitely captured Autumn.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images of the fall!
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely images, very soothing to have Autumn arrive, however, I am always hard to allow Summer to fleet from my embrace. I never seem to get enough of any season, for I am always so far behind in everything and cannot catch up even to the seasons changing...ha I am such a mess ;)
ReplyDeleteI love those candles!
ReplyDeleteYou created a nice centrepiece for autumn.
ReplyDeleteI miss Autumn! Does anyone share those apples with you? :) Lovely Fall display with the candles and bits of nature. Have a wonderful weekend. Tammy
ReplyDeleteWe are just back from our 50th Anniversary trip to Orcas Island - so nothing has been done for fall yet - but now that the weather has turned cooler it is time to think of things like that. My mums are glowing on the deck - the leaves are turning and the grasses showing signs of being finished with their season - we move along the year.
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous. Powerful and inspiring at the same time. Yes to Autumn!!!
ReplyDeleteI replied to your todays comment on my blog :)
