Walls of Stone

                                                                                                                          (Tulum, Mexico, Feb 2011)

With your help I can advance against a troop;
with my God I can scale a wall.
Psalm 18:22

                                                                                            (near the Pont du Gard, France, 2007)

May there be peace within your walls
and security within your citadels.
Psalm 122:7

  1. There is something so timeless about these stone walls, so similar but worlds apart.

  2. Such a timely word in these times of troubles around the world. If I were to scale such a wall, I'd definitely need God's help. And that is true of every wall that I encounter. Blessings to you today, Lorrie...

  3. Sometimes I want walls so that I can rest behind them and sometimes I want them to keep out the world - and sometimes I want them just because they look good as a backdrop to a garden.
    Lovely, timely post.

    Sitzfleisch - now there's a word to conjure with.
    I haven't heard it used for many a long year. My parents also told me that I didn't have enough of it.

  10. The stone walls are beautiful Lorrie. There are similarities between the walls of Mexico and France and they remind me of the stones of Ireland as well.
