Yesterday afternoon my husband and I went for a walk. Snow fell all day, and I was mesmerized by the beauty. Darkness fell just as we headed out for our walk, but I grabbed the camera anyway. Before turning off the automatic flash, I took these pictures and like the way the falling snow is captured.
Walking was an effort, especially where no one else had walked. But oh, the magical beauty. An enchanted white world, enclosed by quiet.

Lorrie, these pictures are so perfect... really amazing. Did you take them with your regular camera? How great that you were snowed in with the boyfriend. What a great bonding time... and pancakes... that had to win his heart. I made a note of the Egg Strudel recipe; I have never tried that one.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your sweet comment today. I pray that you and your family will have a wonderful Christmas together. I am thankful for you. Isn't it wonderful to know that someday we'll meet face to face... if not here, then there.

Lorrie, those pictures really are magical! Hubby and I were on Vancouver Island for a few days a couple of years ago, and just loved it! We actually stayed in the Queen Victoria Hotel in Victoria on Victoria Day, and just thought that was cool! While walking on the harbor that afternoon we met a vendor who had lived in Atlanta for a few years, so that was a fun chat. We LOVED Butchart Gardens in early spring, and thoroughly enjoyed a day trip to Port Renfrew where I had the very BEST fish and chips! Fresh halibut, fried perfectly with sweet potato fries - YUM!!! It was truly a trip to remember. Have a Merry Christmas!!! Blessings, Becky G.
ReplyDeleteWhat beauty, virgin snow. Love all the photos and can just imagine that absolute quietness that one experiences in the snow.
ReplyDeleteLovely pic of the Dogwoods in the snow too.
Have a lovely and blessed Christmas Lorrie.
