Facing the other direction, a bit of fog obscured the islands, but it wasn't quite the autumnal scene I was hoping for.
I'm working on a project - in the deep rich colours of fall.

ReplyDeleteI enjoy your blog so much! So much so that I'm inspired to look around the beauty God's created more often. And I'm going back and reading old posts. Wish we lived closer. Actually, I'm on an island west of Seattle, so I'm not too far from you as Mr. Crow flies. But an international border, lots of water, well... we're so close but so far. So, instead, I'll just enjoy getting to know you online since I can't visit over tea or coffee.

Oops, forgot to answer your question. Autumn is trying here on my little northwest island. A nearby group of maple trees has one with red leaves, but the others are full of green leaves as apparently they think it's still summer. It has been a nice and dry summer.

I'm still not sure that I'm ready for autumn and the short her days that lie ahead though that beach scene makes me want to be able to have fall by the water!

ReplyDeleteI am looking for more fall as only the swampy areas have color. I expect peak color in about two weeks. I think your shore photo looks very much like autumn.
As you'll have seen already Autumn has arrived in Normandy, too.

ReplyDeleteThere is no need to go looking for autumn here, it's all around me. But the glory is still keeping itself well hidden in all the rain which is falling on these poor, sodden islands.
ReplyDeleteThe leaves are still green and the sky is blue over here. I long for a proper Ontario autumn with scarlet leaves against the blue sky. Ah well - I do enjoy the warmth left in the sun!
