Autumn: a Time for Reflection

"If winter is slumber and spring is birth,
and summer is life, then autumn rounds out to be reflection.
It's a time of year when the leaves are down
and the harvest is in
and the perennials are gone.
Mother Earth just closed up the drapes on another year
and it's time to reflect on what's come before."

  2. What a lovely way to look at autumn. As soon as all the flower beds have been settled for the winter I'll be able to snuggle in and enjoy that sense of accomplishment and the looking back.

  3. You have a point, with the quotation you gave. I suppose I have been reflecting on the past, but with an eye on where I want to head in the future; that part isn't sorted out just yet!
    Beautiful photo, Lorrie.

It's my favorite time of year too! Maybe because so much of my life is lived out from that place of reflection....
