This is a Fence Post

Mary, from the Little Red House, gave out the prompt "fences" for today. I looked through my photos and found the above one, a detail of a fence in San Diego.  I like the curved lines and the "sort of fleur-de-lis" detail at the top.

More fleur-de-lis adorn this fence in Paris, around the Luxembourg Gardens. How pretty a fence can be while protecting and defending.

This fence, around part of Victoria's Inner Harbour, is a mere hint not to fall into the water. Nor does it block the view.

Linking with Mary of the Little Red House. More fence posts (HA) will be up starting around 11 am Pacific time.

For those who inquired about yesterday's post - yes, I made the bunnies. One for Little Miss A and one for Little Miss S. But shhhhh - they won't see them until Sunday.

  1. Oh I wondered about the cute little bunnies and promptly forgot to ask. They'll be so loved.

(I went searching for fences yesterday and found nothing worthy of Mary's prompt. I refuse to use my privacy fencing.)

Now, you, you have some really nice photos of fences! The black enamel (?) is really elegant.

  3. From elegance to practical, there are so many types of useful fences. I went back and peeked at the bunnies, two little girls are going to be so excited.
    Happy Easter.

  5. Beautiful statements in each of your fences.
Of course my favourite is the Luxembourg Gardens topped with gilded fleur-de-lis!
The last image is very special with the reflections and symmetry.
I missed your bunnies so I'm going to have a looksee now!
Wishing you a happy Easter Lorrie.

  6. I had to do a double take when I spied your fence image...I know where that is located!
How about the new one that they are erecting on the breakwater? We can walk out without falling off even when we are well advanced in age !!

  10. I like your interpretation, Lorrie. The Inner Harbour chains are quite familiar to me. This morning I walked past Government House and thought 'I could have posted on this fence!' but I'd already sent my post along its way.....another time, I guess!

  11. Looking back on your recent posts, I noticed that you have the same egg plate as I do. Mine was a wedding shower gift...an antique, to be sure!
The little dresses are so sweet, as are the girls wearing them.
Wishing you a new "spring" in your heart!

  12. Each one is beautiful in it's own way. I'm very partial to the one in Paris as I walked along it with some good friends. laughing while we strolled. Happy Easter to you, Lorrie!
