Tulip Mileage

The heart of a tulip, blushing pink with a golden center. Although it poured rain most of the day, cut flowers bring a little sunshine indoors.

I spent a few hours today cuddling with Mister F who has his days and nights mixed up and two very tired parents. There's nothing like holding a sleeping baby for utter coziness.

I'm hoping you are finding some measure of sun/joy/happiness during these last lingering late winter days.

Linking to Sunlit Sunday hosted by Karen of My Little Home and Garden.

  3. "Utter coziness" is a perfect description. I am trying not to envy, as my youngest grandchild is three years old. It's been a while since I have had the intense pleasure of holding a sleeping infant. Enjoy!

  4. How soft and pretty the tulip looks. I picked up a bouquet yesterday. Waiting for them to open is half the fun.

Enjoy all those wonderful snuggles with the newest member of the family.

  8. I can't wait to see my tulip garden popping. I'm home a short two weeks from visiting babies and grand-babies and miss them like crazy. Grandma had her own rocking chair.

  9. Your tulip, perfect in its pink prettiness, like strawberry swirls in vanilla ice cream, melts my heart; much like your little bundle of joy, I'm sure, has already managed to do to yours.

    Enjoy, Lorrie! Thanks for sharing!

  11. A little sunshine - filtered by the clouds passing by - and warming a little - that is happiness to me. I had a chance to buy an artificial arrangement of tulips yesterday and I just couldn't do it - so went to the store and got a pretty little bouquet of real ones - they are so lovely and just speak spring to me. Wonderful photo of your tulip.

  12. Lorrie, weren't you supposed to keep your grandson awake? What's with the cuddling? Just kidding. I know that it is not possible not to cuddle when they're so adorable and new. Hope that the sleeping schedule gets worked out so that the parents can get some rest.

  13. I have the exact same colour tulips this week, Lorrie. :) They are such a soft pink and white. I'm sure you enjoyed your baby cuddles. Such a blessed time in your lives. It's bright and sunny here again today. But cold.

  24. How lovely to jump inside that tulip today. The soft colors are so pretty.
I am sure Mr. F's parents are thankful that you are ready and willing to help out while the sleeping schedule becomes more predictable. I agree there is nothing cozier than a little cuddle time with a sweet baby.
