Winter's Night
Brew me a cup for a winter's night,
For the wind howls loud and the furies fight;
Spice it with love and stir it with care,
And I'll toast our bright eyes, my sweetheart fair.
(Minna Thomas Antrim)
Today was a day of quiet pleasures - church in the morning, then warming soup for lunch and a long walk in January gray. Helping my daughter with some sewing, puttering around the house and now, a quiet time with cinnamon hot chocolate with my love.

Lorrie this was a perfect day for you. I had chicken noodle soup for lunch after church and it was heaven! I puttered in a second hand shop for treasures but found none:( This evening we watched Jane Austin's novel on Masterpiece Theatre...a soothing love story.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed week dear friend....Karla
Sounds like a lovely winter Sunday. I could almost pick up the chocolate and drink it.
ReplyDeleteI like yur winter white post as I love doing the same, ujder the duvet with window open brething in the fresh air and listening to the rain. My picture would look similar as my bedding is navy and cream. The collage is beautiful.
What a lovely, lovely day. Thanks for the poem as well. I also loved all your Winter White photos, too... your blue and white bed is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteIt's cold here this morning, and those cups of hot chocolate are looking mighty tempting! I think I will go and put the kettle on.
Blessings,
Christi
