Definitely! When I go out walking I love walking through leaves.
ReplyDeleteSo much fun!
Deletei love the sound of rustling leaves and that is why I don’t like to sweep the deck too often. I like to walk through the leaves.
ReplyDeleteThey do sound like fall.
Deletemost definitely. The child is still there. I always love your bounty of maple leaves. Not so many in Jersey. Mainly oaks, sweet chestnuts, poplars and sycamore. I find the oaks the last to change colour. B x
ReplyDeleteWe don't have the red maples that grow further east, but the golden-leafed ones are very pretty, too. Oaks here are some of the last to change.
DeleteWe don't have autumn here but I think I would love to walk through the fallen leaves.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, Lorrie!
Thank you, Veronica. We live in very different parts of the world!
DeleteWhat a lovely poem. The ground in my garden is so full of maple leaves, infinite work.
ReplyDeleteRaking leaves can be time-consuming, but it's good to be out in the fresh air.
DeleteWe use to rake the leaves into a pile and then jump in them when we were kids.
ReplyDeleteIt's very tempting!
DeleteAhhh . . . just caught up on your October posts. What fun to find that you are going to be posting each October day! I have done similar challenges in the past, and find them rewarding. I am usually happy for a break at the end, but find that it is worth the effort along the way.
ReplyDeleteI love your entry for today. I smiled as I pictured you scuffling through the crunchy leaves, as I have found myself doing the same. They're nearly irresistible, aren't they? Oh, how I love October!
October is such a wonderful month. I hope I can keep up with the posting. It's been fun so far!
DeleteBut of course!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd gorgeous photos!
🎃 😊 🍁 🌰 🌻 🍂 🎃
Scuffle, scuffle!
DeleteI love the rustle of leaves too. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteOne of the delights of autumn!
DeleteThat's a sweet little poem.
ReplyDeleteYes, I still sluff my feet through the leaves on the path as I walk.
I think it's a universal tendency!
DeleteI love the sound of crunchy leaves too!
ReplyDeleteAnd then to come inside and drink a cup of delicious tea!
DeleteFallen leaves can be lots of fun if it isn't your job to rake them up! :)
ReplyDeleteSo true!
DeleteKicking in the autumn leaves is as good as jumping in puddles. lol
ReplyDeleteFall delights and spring delights! Although there are plenty of puddles in the autumn around here, too.
DeleteWith all the rain it's hard to find some dry crunchy leaves. - Margy
ReplyDeleteThat's true! But the forests need the rain, so I won't mind.
DeleteI like to walk in the leaves when there is a big amount of them!
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Lorrie. I love to hear the leaves scrunch under my feet. One knows it is really autumn when we can enjoy such simple pleasures.
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying your daily posts and will try and keep up with you. By the way, your posts have returned to my email inbox. Yeah!
What a darling poem, that playful finish! The only problem with all the Autumn poems and quotations that I love so much this time of year is that I get frustrated because I can't write like that!
ReplyDeleteOur color is beginning to come on here. I love autumn so much. We've had quite a few grey days, but for me that adds to the autumn mood.
